ABOUT BLOODY TIME: Frankslist- When the job interview gets... unhinged AF.
One job interview. A parade of increasingly unhinged tests. And one question: how badly do you want (need?!) this bloody job?
Welcome to FRANKSLIST.

One of six projects selected for our inaugural About Bloody Time: Women Are Seen Project Showcase at FrightFest 2026, FRANKSLIST is an absurdist dark comedy about the increasingly ridiculous lengths we go to be seen, hired or simply heard.
THE KILLER LOGLINE 🩸
A simple interview spirals into a nightmare of bizarre encounters and escalating chaos.
SO… WHAT IS FRANKSLIST? 🩸
Written and directed by Christine Celozzi, FRANKSLIST follows Meg, a woman desperate for a job who accepts an interview through a classifieds site.
Simple enough.
Except the interview very quickly stops looking like an interview.
Meg instead finds herself trapped in an increasingly surreal series of tests as a straightforward job opportunity descends into something much stranger.
And much more chaotic.
At its heart, FRANKSLIST is a satire of the modern job market.
The endless hoops.
The increasingly unreasonable expectations.
And just how much we're sometimes expected to endure simply for the chance to be chosen.
Christine describes her filmmaking style as creating absurd comedies that flirt with horror, satire and social experiments, and FRANKSLIST sits very happily in that strange little space.
She also didn't exactly give herself an easy job on this one.
Christine wrote, directed, edited and stars in the film, which was created through her production company Gremlin Express.
And by the time FRANKSLIST arrived at About Bloody Time, it was already building a pretty bloody impressive festival run.
The film has screened at festivals including HollyShorts Comedy, Portland Film Festival and Laugh After Dark ComedyFest, alongside picking up awards and recognition on the circuit.
And since our FrightFest showcase?
There's been even more good news.
The film won Best Comedy at North Hollywood CineFest, took home Best Thriller at Rock the Shorts Film Festival, Best Short Film at the Shawna Shea Film Festival and Best Comedy at the Lois Weber Film Festival.
It also picked up 2nd Prize in Fade In’s Comedy Competition and has been selected to screen at FilmQuest 2026 this October.
Turns out the interview from hell is a pretty universal experience. Who knew?

ABOUT BLOODY TIME 🩸
For Christine, being part of About Bloody Time wasn't simply another opportunity to screen or pitch the film.
It was the people she was standing alongside.
“Sharing a stage with so many talented women who are creating incredible projects was the highest honor.”
Christine says that from the moment she received the invitation, she had a feeling the showcase was going to be something special.
Actually being in the room was another experience entirely.
“Being in that room, feeling that energy and the magic that was brewing was another level I wasn't ready for but fully welcomed with open arms.”
And then, of course, we gave her sixty seconds.
Our slightly unhinged OUT OF BLOODY TIME pitch challenge gave each filmmaker exactly one minute to tell a room full of genre fans and filmmakers why they should remember their project.
For Christine, getting to pitch something that she and her team had poured their “blood, sweat, and tears into” in a room that genuinely wanted them to succeed meant a lot.
“When you know there's a room full of people and an entire team championing you, something shifts inside of you.”
She described leaving with a new sense of excitement, confidence, gratitude and hope for the project.
And that matters.
Because putting something you've created into the world can make you feel incredibly vulnerable.
Knowing the room is rooting for you changes the experience completely.
A BLOODY GOOD GIFT 🩸🖤
A huge thank you to Cute And Spook, who gifted Christine a suitably perfect Horror Queen hoodie to take home from the showcase. đź–¤

Female-owned and made in the UK, Cute And Spook creates cosy clothing and accessories for people who like their wardrobes cute with a sprinkling of spooky chaos.

And honestly, Horror Queen felt pretty appropriate for a filmmaker who had just survived our 60-second OUT OF BLOODY TIME pitch challenge!
Go show them some love and explore: Cute And Spook

Thank you again to Cute And Spook for helping us celebrate Christine and the FRANKSLIST team!
WHAT DOES GENRE NEED NEXT? 🩸
Christine had recently attended another festival where the filmmaker Q&As she watched were majority women.
And she wants to see much more of that.
More women.
More often.
Taking up space across genre festivals, panels, screenings and conversations.
But particularly women embracing the very qualities they've sometimes been told make them “difficult.”
“The boldness, the creativity, the liveliness, the strength. I want to see more of that.”
YES.
Because increasing representation isn't simply about adding more women into the room.
It's also about creating spaces where women don't feel they have to make themselves smaller once they get there.
Where bold is allowed.
Where strange is encouraged.
Where difficult might actually mean interesting.
And where wonderfully bizarre films about job interviews, impossible expectations, inflated egos and increasingly unhinged hoops to jump through can exist too.

WHAT'S NEXT FOR FRANKSLIST? 🩸
Right now, Christine plans to keep riding the FRANKSLIST wave through the rest of its festival journey.
But she's already thinking about what comes next.
And that next project is:
SECRET SANTA.
The new project is already underway, with Christine hoping to eventually develop it into a feature.
So while FRANKSLIST continues making its way around the festival circuit, another wonderfully strange Christine Celozzi creation is already beginning to take shape.
CAN YOU HELP? đź‘€
This one's pretty easy.
Follow the work.
Share the films.
Tell somebody when you discover a filmmaker you think they should know about.

And if you want to follow Christine into whatever chaos comes next...

Because supporting independent genre filmmakers doesn't always require a giant gesture.
Sometimes it's simply helping their work travel a little further.

THE LASTING IMPRESSION 🩸
When we asked Christine what stayed with her after About Bloody Time, interestingly, her answer wasn't really about FRANKSLIST.
It was about everybody else.
“I think moreso it was a swelling pride that stayed with me. Not for my project, though it's there and this showcase definitely elevated it, but for the women who shared the stage with me.”
She spoke about the creativity of the projects in the room.
The beauty.
The rawness.
The comedy.
And the ability genre gives filmmakers to take some of the uglier parts of life and transform them into something completely different.
“The ability to show the uglier sides of life and juxtapose it with beauty or comedy. It's just brilliant.”
And we think that describes FRANKSLIST rather nicely too.
Because underneath all the absurdity is something extremely recognisable.
The endless hoops. The impossible expectations. The pressure to keep proving yourself.
And the feeling that opportunity is always sitting just on the other side of one more gatekeeper.
FRANKSLIST asks just how far we’re willing to go to be chosen.
And maybe that’s why stories like this feel so familiar.
Because in our industry, opportunity can still come with endless hoops, shifting expectations and a lot of proving yourself along the way.
That’s why we want to create more spaces where women can show up as they are.
More connections built on authenticity, not transaction.
And more genuine routes forward for women and their work.
